WEN2 is an artist from the city of Brest in Brittany. He has drawn heavily on
skills acquired through art school and professional experience in urban development and architecture to develop his artistic technique.
With his visionary and futuristic underground work as a graphic designer,
painter and graffiti writer, WEN2 is one of the most versatile artists on the contemporary street art scene. He takes his inspiration from the familiar world of his hometown, Brest. Its busy
port, its high levels of industrialisation, the scars of the Second World War and the mass of factories, warehouses and deprived neighbourhoods - concrete plastered over a city in ruins, leaving
just the relics of a bygone era in what has become a giant building site. The principal themes of his work include the city, urbanisation, recycling, over-consummation and
industrialisation.
Moving between a variety of supports and materials, WEN2 plunges us into a
poetic world - his own, very unique, apocalyptic trashosphere.
