Raycord is a Canadian composer who lives and works in the countryside, a
lifestyle steeped in the elements that inspires his music and suits his sensitive nature, the warmth of which permeates and humanises the electronic music he channels. Raycord composes vibrant
and atmospheric music.
Fascinated with exploring the minutiae of sounds produced by analog machines,
Raycord decided to re-record his tracks on open reel tapes in order to confer new possibilities to his music, allowing him to makes changes to the speed and to inverse sounds. Raycord patiently
crafts his compositions with a great attention to detail. He also occasionally incorporates tracks by other musicians. His album Ruban Ruban spans over five years’ musical experimentation
assisted by Steve Cloutier and is released on Phonosaurus Records.
